OK, I just spent some quality time at Hetta's archive site of this
group. Who is still around?

Me, but the group looks pretty much deceased, which is a shame

I'm still around (and still at kol...). This group is sadly, pretty
quiet, and the non .d group is not very active (but I'd say the
quality has improved in the last year).

Maybe we need something to talk about?

Suggestion: memes that have come (and possibly gone) while you
haven't been paying attention. Here's one:

The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny
www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwBK31tC5QM

I found out about it after watching some Harry Potter Puppet Pal
videos made by the same guy. They were amusing, then I read about
him and found out he's net.famous for that video. Which, up until
then, I'd never heard of.

Ooh, ooh, I'm still here. I've been hiding out (think: "great white" with
an "a" at the end)

At one time, I actually paid extra to get Supernews so I could be the first
one to get new messages... Now it's just my cable's (doggy) service.

I blame the Jimbot's fadeout for the volume loss.

I'm around. I was really excited to see "7" next to the froup name on
XNews!

I have moved to the US now - I think I already posted that here. I've been
here since August and was in England/Poland over Thanksgiving.

The froup is dead, long live the froup!

That would correspond to about when I stopped submitting questions and
answers. Yay me.

As a meme that has come and gone, I am getting a real kick out of
these replies.

Me.

However, I've caught this thing called a "life", and have MUCH less
online time than I used to have.

Hetta (The SO is sweet, though.)

Nope, not hibernating, I'm definitely dead.

How much did you lose? And what method are you using?

I lost 50 lbs over about a year on the Rosedale diet. (with no exercise and
no portion sizes except for fruit and meat)

If anyone is seriously interested, read on, otherwise move along, nothing
funny here.

No sugar, no grain or anything made from grain (even whole grains), like
pasta or cereal, Corn is also a grain with a lot of sugar and GMO to boot.
No potatoes.

Watch food labels closely for High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) and other
hidden sugars. Don't put that muck in your body, ever.

Don't believe the non-fat hype, you need fats, but only the right ones.
Eliminate omega-6 oils (literally all "cooking" oils, even canola) and any
margarine (really bad trans-fat), replace with olive, almond, avacado oils,
Virgin coconut or real butter for cooking.

No processed food, GMO food, or artificial anything. Stay out of the
middle of the supermarket.

Eat mostly vegetables, either raw or lightly steamed, preferably organic,
and locally grown (Farmer's markets).

Take (mercury-free) fish oil and a good probiotic.

If you get hunger pangs, eat 7-10 tree nuts very slowly and you will be
surprised how that quenches your hunger. (Not peanuts, which are legumes,
not nuts) Pistacios are good to lower cholesterol. Walnuts are a good
omega-3 source. Unless you're allergic, of course.

Keep fruit to a minimum, a cup or less per day, mostly berries or other
very small fruit, and only whole fresh fruit, not juice or dried.

Small amounts of protein: two eggs, soft boiled or poached, 4 oz of meat or
fish, preferably wild fish, and grass-fed (not grain fed) meat. Most
people eat too much protein.

Completely give up soda and other sugary soft drinks in any form,
especially diet. Nutrasweet is a neuro toxin. It can kill ants.

Drink mostly water, or green tea (processed without fluorine). If you must
drink tap water (clorinated, fluoridated), get a reverse-osmosis filter.

A little dark chocolate (without milk solids) doesn't hurt, and may even be
a good thing. Make sure it's organic cocoa butter and cocoa liquor.
Everyone needs a little vice here and there.
